- 2 ripe bananas mashed
- 1/2 cup butter melted (or oil for vegan)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 2 eggs or flax eggs for vegan
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour blend
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts optional
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract; mix well.
Add eggs (or flax eggs), cocoa powder, and flour, stirring until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool completely before slicing and serving.
