Ingredients

  • 1 cup of yogurt 200ml
  • 1 tea glass of oil 125ml
  • 3 eggs separate the yolks of two
  • 1 tablespoon of yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 4-4.5 cups flour

For the Filling:

  • 200 g feta cheese
  • Parsley

For the Layers:

  • 150 grams of butter

Instructions

  • In a kneading bowl, mix together the yogurt, oil, eggs, and yeast. Gradually add flour and salt, kneading until you have a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 40 minutes.
  • Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 4 equal portions. Roll out each portion with a rolling pin and brush with melted butter.
  • Fold the dough from the edges and brush the folded edges with butter. Fold it into a rectangular shape. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Roll out the chilled dough into a rectangle. Cut it in half, add the feta cheese and parsley filling, and roll it up.
  • Slice the rolls into pieces about two fingers wide.
  • Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with egg yolk.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) until golden brown.
