Ingredients

For the shortbread:

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 and 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 7 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

For the glaze:

  • 3 cups icing sugar
  • 4 teaspoons water
  • 1 drop pink food coloring or to taste
  • Dragees

Instructions

  • Put the sugar, eggs, and oil in the bowl of a mixer. Beat until all ingredients are combined.
  • Add baking powder to the flour, stir, and gradually add to the mixer, preventing any flour from escaping.
  • Add vanilla and milk. Beat until well blended.
  • Transfer the mixture to a well-buttered oven tray with waxed paper at the bottom. Bake at 180 degrees for 25 minutes.
  • Once out of the oven, let the shortbread rest. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, water, and a drop of pink food coloring to achieve the desired consistency.
  • Apply the glaze, add dragees, and cut the shortbread into your preferred shapes.
