Ingredients

  • 1/2 scoop of protein powder your preferred flavor
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/8 cup Kodiak Cake Mix various flavors like cookies and cream or pumpkin
  • Frosting vanilla or chocolate, to taste
  • Sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Spray your mugs with cooking spray to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier. Using a funnel, if you have one, add 1/4 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk to each mug.
  • Add 1/2 scoop of your chosen protein powder into each mug and stir well. Add 1/8 cup of Kodiak Cake Mix to each mug and mix thoroughly until smooth. For variety, use different flavors like cookies and cream for one mug and pumpkin for the other.
  • Place one mug in the microwave and cook for 2 minutes. Cook each mug separately to ensure even cooking. After cooking, carefully remove the mug from the microwave—it will be hot! Let it cool slightly, then repeat the process with the second mug.
  • Once cooled, turn the mug upside down on a plate to release the cake. It should slide out easily, thanks to the cooking spray.
  • Spread 1 tablespoon of vanilla or chocolate frosting over each mug cake. Add sprinkles for an extra festive look, if desired. Let the frosting set for a minute, then cut the mug cakes in half to cool faster and serve.
