Ingredients

  • 600 grams approximately 2.5 cups of heavy cream
  • 200 grams about 7 ounces of cream cheese
  • 200 grams 1 cup of low-fat quark (or a similar soft cheese)
  • 80 grams around 3/8 cup of sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 24 grams 3 packets of cream stabilizer
  • 400 grams 2 cups of fresh strawberries
  • 16 crispy waffle cookies

Instructions

  • Whip the Cream: In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream with the cream stabilizer. Whip until the cream forms stiff peaks. Be careful not to overbeat.
  • Blend Cream Cheese Mixture: In another bowl, mix the cream cheese, low-fat quark, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
  • Combine Creams: Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture, being careful to keep the mixture light and airy.
  • Prepare Strawberries: Wash the strawberries and cut them into slices. Save a few whole strawberries for decoration if you like.
  • Layer the Cake: Start with a layer of waffle cookies at the bottom of your serving dish. Spread a layer of the cream mixture over the waffles, then add a layer of sliced strawberries. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cream and strawberries on top.
  • Chill: Allow the cake to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set. This resting time lets the waffles soften and the flavors meld together.
  • Serve: Once set, decorate the top with the reserved strawberries. Slice and serve chilled.
