Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
Add flour mixture to the batter alternately with the milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
Mix in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top.
Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
